Power Plays Update
Close AAPL & PONY

I'm going to close out Apple (AAPL) and Pony AI (PONY) from Power Plays here.

Apple reports tomorrow, and I don't want to hold the stock into earnings. I expected a pre-earnings run but that just hasn't happened.

However, I am still personally long Apple 8/1 $220 calls because it looks like expectations are very low.

As for Pony, it got off to a fantastic start, but it's getting hit like many other speculative names.

And I wish we'd taken gains when it was above $16.

But it's starting to break down and it looks like it's going to sag.

So the smart move with these names is to step aside.

As I said yesterday, it's time to be more careful and selective, especially with so much news hitting the tape for the rest of the week. (FOMC, PCE, NFP, and all the earnings)
