JR Romero is the Lead Trader & Editorial Director for Momentum Express, Sultans of Swing Trading, and the Gold and Silver Mentorship Programs.

He has been an active trader since 2001, specializing in technical scalping and news flow analysis.

JR attended Columbia University, where he earned degrees in Computer Science and History. After graduating, he worked as both a coder and trader for some of the world’s largest hedge funds.

His equities trading approach blends chart analysis, real-time news flow, and intermarket relationship studies to generate high-probability trading ideas. This integrated methodology allows him to adapt quickly to changing market conditions while maintaining disciplined risk management.

JR is also a dedicated trading educator who consistently turns real-world market events into practical, actionable lessons for traders at all experience levels.

He trades out of Idaho, where he lives with his family.
