Power Plays Weekly Roundup
+ FXI Trim
July 18, 2025

By Scott Redler

To kick off this week, we'll take this action for Power Plays:

  • Trim 1/3 the FXI position (leaving us with 2/3)

China has been working well but I want to manage size.

********

SPX futures are positive as it seems like we might leave this upper channel that was supported by the 8/21-day the past two weeks.

And until the SPX breaks the 8-day moving average and stays below it, we will be actively bullish and opportunistic.

So I'm glad we've been aggressive in adding long names to Power Plays over the past few weeks.

Power Plays is supposed to give you one idea per week - but we've sent 4 this week alone!

I hope you understand that we don't always have this volume of trades.

But when the getting is good, we need to be aggressive.

So if I see something I like, I won't hold back.

Because I want you to get your money's worth, and then some.

Now let’s talk about our current names:

Apple (AAPL): the chart has been firming up and I expect an early pre-earnings rally over the next few days.

Rumble (RUM): momentum names keep rotating in this tape, and Rumble looks like one of the next to go.

iShares China Large-Cap ETF (FXI): China has been looking great so I'm glad we added FXI this week. We are down to 2/3 now.

Archer Aviation (ACHR) was stuck in the mud for quite a while, and then it rallied huge this week as speculative stocks took off, especially those with anything to do with aviation and drones. We have 2/3 left.

Unusual Machines (UMAC): I added this last week and it got a big lift on news the Department of Defense wants to increase US drone production. We are down to 1/3.

AST SpaceMobile (ASTS) started slow but took off with a vengeance. We are down to 2/3 and I would not chase it.

WeBull (BULL) got off to a slow start and then ramped hard for us to be one of our best n ames of 2025. We are down to 1/4. I would not chase it.

Enjoy your weekend!
