Power Plays Options Weekly Roundup
June 6, 2025

By Scott Redler

This was definitely a great week for us.

We positioned into SPY calls Monday, and then added long positions in Amazon (AMZN) and IWM calls.

They all worked.

That doesn't always happen, so let's be grateful that we were ready to take action fast as the market action improved.

As you know, Power Plays Options is technically a "one idea per week" service but when the action is good, I like to give you a little extra.

So since we started this service, PPO has averaged about 1.5 plays per week.

Friday's action is definitely encouraging, with the market reacting well to the jobs report, and key leaders like Nvidia (NVDA) and Microsoft (MSFT) continuing to lead.

I do have a pretty decent watchlist of names I'd like to position in on weakness, including DoorDash (DASH) and AST Spacemobile (ASTS). So keep an eye out for alerts next week.

The next step is to see how the market acts this afternoon.

If we keep extending and close on the highs, that would be a major statement by the bulls.

Now let’s talk about our current names:

AMZN 6/13 $210 Calls: this name was fantastic this week, and we're down to 1/3. I'm looking for a breakout through $215, though I would not chase it up here.

IWM 6/13 $210 Calls: the small caps had a decent bounce on today's job report, so we took off 1/2 for a gain.

XLE 6/30 $95 X $105 Call Spread: Unfortunately, this position has failed and is in the loss column.

MSOS 6/20 $4 Calls: MSOS occasionally shows signs of life but this sector is a mess. Unless there's a miracle, this will expire at $0 next Friday.

Have a great weekend!

About Power Plays Options

Thank you for joining Scott's first dedicated options service as one of our charter members.

Since PPO is an all-new service, we may adjust some aspects of the format and content in the coming weeks. But, the focus will remain on providing high quality ideas for you to consider.

Depending upon the name, Scott may not introduce a specific exit plan at the time of idea initiation. This is because options prices can move so far so fast, and Scott prioritizes flexibility.

However, if Power Plays removes an options idea (whether it's up or down), Scott will notify you with an alert.
