A Day in the Life of Hit and Run Trading

In this video we walk through some current long and short setups Hit and Run members are involved in.

While most services wait for clear and distinct downtrends to short stocks, like Paul Tudor Jones, I have found that taking stocks when the trend bends, at the tide, has been a profitable strategy.

Several important concepts that are the mainstay of my trading methods are highlighted in this video:

  • All trading is contextual. In other words I’m looking for signal bars within the context of a pattern setup.
  • Price action is mean reverting. Stocks contract and expand.

Within this general framework, I look to short weak stocks as they try to stand on their tiptoes, and to buy strong stocks as they crouch.

In addition to reviewing setups, I show several long setups today from last night’s report that looked viable today even before the futes were popping.

We wrap the video up with an analysis of the SPX and one of my 4 Horsemen, COUP.
