it!<\/span><\/p>\n<h2><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">February CPI<\/span><\/h2>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Inflation pressures were slightly hotter than expected in February, keeping the Fed on track to continue waiting for rate cuts.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">The Bureau of Labor Statistics\u2019 consumer price index rose 0.4% monthly and 3.2% year over year last month.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">That was in line with monthly estimates and hotter than 3.1% annually expected.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">The core CPI rose 0.4% monthly and 3.8% annually vs 0.3% monthly and 3.7% annually expected.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">That core rate remains well above the Fed\u2019s 2% target.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">The headline number was boosted by a 2.3% increase in energy prices, while food prices were flat, and shelter costs rose 0.4%.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">The energy and shelter increases accounted for more than 60% of the total gain.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<h2><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Oracle Jumps On Earnings Beat<\/span><\/h2>\n<p><b>Oracle <\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">(ORCL) shares are up 11.5% ahead of the open after beating fiscal Q3 earnings expectations.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Here\u2019s how the cloud company\u2019s results compared to analysts\u2019 estimates:\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"1\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Adjusted EPS: $1.41 vs $1.38 expected<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"1\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Revenue: $13.28 billion vs $13.3 billion expected<\/span><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Although revenue was a bit lighter than estimated, it was style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Southwest Cuts Outlook Due To Boeing Delays<\/span><\/h2>\n<p><b>Southwest Airlines <\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">(LUV) shares are down 8.5% ahead of the open after the company said it will have to cut its capacity plans and reevaluate financial forecasts for the year.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">The airline cited delivery delays from <\/span><b>Boeing <\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">(BA), which is its sole supplier of planes.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Boeing has informed Southwest\u2019s leaders to expect 46 Boeing 737 Max 8 planes this year, down from 58 previously.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Southwest had originally expected Boeing to
