{"id":68495,"date":"2023-06-09T09:02:05","date_gmt":"2023-06-09T13:02:05","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/blog.t3live.com\/?p=68495"},"modified":"2023-06-09T09:02:05","modified_gmt":"2023-06-09T13:02:05","slug":"coffee-with-greta-bull-market","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/blog.t3live.com\/2023\/06\/09\/coffee-with-greta-bull-market\/","title":{"rendered":"Coffee With Greta: Bull Market"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><strong><a href=\"http:\/\/t3trading.com\/cwapt-scott\">Register now<\/a> for next week's free Q&A with Scott Redler on LinkedIn!<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><b>DJIA Futures: <\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">-67 (-0.2%)<\/span><\/p>\n<p><b>SPX Futures: <\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">+3 (+0.1%)<\/span><\/p>\n<p><b>NASDAQ Futures: <\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">+45 (+0.3%)<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Good morning friends!<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Futures are mixed after the S&P 500 notched its highest close of the year on Thursday.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Let\u2019s get right to it!<\/span><\/p>\n<h2><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">S&P 500 Enters Bull Market<\/span><\/h2>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">The <\/span><b>S&P 500 <\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">officially closed in bull market territory on Thursday.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">The index ended the session 0.6% higher at 4,293.93 \u2013 the highest close so far of 2023.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">But it was also up 20% from the most recent low on October 12, 2022.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">That\u2019s the official threshold that marks a new bull market.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">The index is on track for its fourth straight positive week for the first time since August.<\/span><\/p>\n<h2><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">GM To Use Tesla EV Chargers<\/span><\/h2>\n<p><b>General Motors <\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">(GM) shares are up 4% ahead of the open after the automaker reached a deal with <\/span><b>Tesla <\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">(TSLA) to use the EV maker\u2019s North American charging network.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">TSLA shares are also up 6.2% in premarket trade.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">GM vehicles will be able to access 12,000 of Tesla\u2019s superchargers using an adapter starting next year.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Starting in 2025, automaker will also begin installing the charging port used by Tesla in its cars, NACS (North American Charging Standard), instead of the current industry-standard CCS.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">GM CEO Mary Barra told CNBC the deal should save the automaker up to $400 million of a previously announced $750 million investment in EV charging.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">A similar deal was announced between <\/span><b>Ford <\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">(F) and Tesla last month.<\/span><\/p>\n<h2><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">DocuSign Earnings Beat Expectations<\/span><\/h2>\n<p><b>DocuSign <\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">(DOCU) shares are up 6.9% ahead of the open after beating fiscal Q1 expectations on the top and bottom line.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Here\u2019s how the e-signature provider\u2019s results compared to analysts\u2019 estimates:\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"1\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Adjusted EPS: $0.72 vs $0.56 expected<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"1\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Revenue: $661 million vs $642 million expected<\/span><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Both total revenue and subscription revenue jumped 12% year over year.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Revenue in the professional services and other category was up 14%.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">DocuSign reported 1.4 million paying users and more than 1 billion total users as of April 30.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">The company expects fiscal Q2 revenue between $675 million and $679 million vs $667 million expected.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">For the full year, DocuSign forecast revenue between $2.71 billion and $2.73 billion vs $2.7 billion expected.<\/span><\/p>\n<h2><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">In Case You Missed It<\/span><\/h2>\n<ul>\n<li><b>Carvana <\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">(CVNA) shares surged 56% on Thursday after the used-car retailer hiked its fiscal Q2 guidance. The company now expects to report adjusted EBITDA of $50 million for the current quarter, beating analysts\u2019 estimates. Carvana is expected to report earnings on August 3rd.
