Treasury yields are rising this morning as concerns rise about the Fed continuing rate hikes due to persistently high inflation.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">The 2-year Treasury yield is up 7 basis points to 4.67% while the 10-year yield is surging 24 basis points to 3.89%.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">The jump comes after the January PPI came in way hotter-than-expected on Thursday and Fed officials put their support behind continued rate hikes.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Cleveland Fed President Loretta Mester said in a speech Thursday that she would have preferred a 50 basis point rate hike at the last meeting.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">She said, \u201cThe upside risks to inflation and historical experience suggest to me that the costs of undershooting on policy or prematurely loosening policy still outweigh the costs of overshooting.\u201d<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">St Louis Fed President James Bullard echoed that sentiment in a later speech, saying he is advocating for a 50 basis point hike at the March meeting.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">He said, \u201ccontinued policy rate increases can help lock in a disinflationary trend during 2023, even with ongoing growth and
