style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Let\u2019s get right to it!<\/span><\/p>\n<h2><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Spirit Considers JetBlue\u2019s Takeover Offer<\/span><\/h2>\n<p><b>Spirit Airlines <\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">(SAVE) shares are up 1.4% in premarket trade after the discount airline said it will begin talks with <\/span><b>JetBlue <\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">(JBLU) about a takeover.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">JetBlue offered Spirit a $3.6 billion cash buyout earlier this week.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Spirit said the JetBlue deal could likely lead to a \u201csuperior proposal\u201d to the planned merger with <\/span><b>Frontier <\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">(ULCC).<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">JetBlue\u2019s CEO said, &#8220;We look forward to engaging with the Spirit Board to finalize our combination, to create a national low-fare challenger to the four large dominant U.S. carriers that will result in lower fares and better service for customers\u201d.<\/span><\/p>\n<h2><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">10-Year Treasury Yield Hits Fresh 3-Year High<\/span><\/h2>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">The 10-year Treasury yield popped over night, rising to a fresh 3-year high at 2.69%.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">That yield ended last week at just 2.38% and started 2022 at 1.63%.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">The recent rally in the 10-year yield has been prompted by the Fed\u2019s aggressive plans to tighten monetary policy.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">The 2-year yield is sitting at 2.52%, meaning the spread between the 10-year and 2-year is positive.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">But the 30-year and 5-year yield curve remains inverted.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">The 30-year yield is 2.72% while the 5-year yield is 2.76%.<\/span><\/p>\n<h2><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Oil On Track for Losing Week<\/span><\/h2>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Oil prices are up this morning but headed for a losing week.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">West Texas Intermediate crude futures are 0.9% higher at $97 per barrel while Brent crude futures are up 0.5% to $101 per barrel.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">The U.S. Senate voted unanimously Thursday to ban all Russian oil and gas imports and revoke Russia\u2019s most favored nation trade status with the U.S.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Both measures were sent back to the House for final approval before being sent to the President\u2019s desk.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">This move brings Congress in-line with an executive order signed by President Biden in early March.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Passing the oil ban through Congress ensures the executive order can not be undone by a future president.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<h2><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Tesla Opens GigaTexas<\/span><\/h2>\n<p><b>Tesla <\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">(TSLA) shares are flat ahead of the open after the electric automaker opened its new gigafactory in Austin, Texas.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">GigaTexas opened its doors with a Cyber Rodeo celebration Thursday evening.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">The Austin factory is designed to produce 500,000 Tesla vehicles and is expected to be expanded in the future.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Analysts expect production of 100,000 vehicles at the location this year.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">This is the second major factory Tesla has opened this year after opening GigaBerlin in late March.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">GigaTexas will also serve as Tesla\u2019s new headquarters, officially moving away from the Gigafactory in Fremont, California.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">The new location is expected to create 10,000 new low-skilled jobs for the Austin economy.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">The automaker also partnered with local community colleges to offer a 14-week training program for a manufacturing career at Tesla.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<h2><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Consumer Credit Levels Soar\u00a0<\/span><\/h2>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">The Federal Reserve reported consumer credit in the U.S. surged in February.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Total credit rose at a seasonally adjusted annual rate of 11.3% to $41.8 billion.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">That was a $32.9 billion increase from January and sharply higher than economists\u2019 expectations for a $15 billion increase.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Revolving credit, which includes things like credit cards, surged 20.7%.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Non-revolving credit, which includes fixed-rate loans like car loans,
