Chart Attack: SPX, QQQ, AAPL, TWTR, TSLA, AMZN

Shares

SPX futures are up 12-14 handles as North Korea didn’t fire missiles and Hurricane Irma passed through. We’ll see if the 2470ish area holds to create a gap and go.

QQQ was on the weak side Friday. We’ll see if they trap shorts or flat traders need to buy higher. See if $145.35 can hold. If so, $145.90 is next resistance.

AAPL retraced lower last week and I did less. It broke $160.50ish Friday and closed weak. Maybe it just trapped some shorts. Today, use $160.60 to $161 as a key area.

TSLA’s pennant keeps building with a bit of choppy action. Each day it feels different. For active bulls to take control, it needs a high-volume move and hold above $350-$352.

TWTR is starting to act better. We got back involved around $16.90. There’s a big open gap that starts at $17.60 if it wants more upside.

AMZN is always on our “Go-To List.”

It did a Red Dog Reversal around the $1053 pivot pre-earnings after a nice run from $1016. Recently it did a Red Dog Reversal around the $954 pivot, but got contained at the 21 day around $990.

If it can get and stay above $979, maybe it breeds confidence that the $985 trendline can be cleared.
